“Outdoor Fall Clean-up”

After all that hard work on your yard this summer, it’s time for fall clean-up!

What are you planning on doing with all those grass clippings, branches, huge piles of leaves, and other yard waste?

Keep one thing in mind when disposing of your yard waste; never dump wastes into the storm drain in the street or on the banks of a nearby stream!  Anything in a storm sewer or stream will wash directly to Lake Erie, untreated!

Try composting, using a mulching mower, or using your neighborhood yard waste collection dates.

For more information, contact the Lake County Stormwater Management Department at 350-2543 or www.lakecountyohio.gov/smd.

Drop off tree limbs and branches only no larger than 8 in. in diameter now through October. See the schedule of drop off times on the Chipper link at the home page.  No leaves please!
