M-PAL's Mission
The mission of M-PAL is to create, foster, and sponsor programs designed to promote the physical and mental well-being of the youth of Madison, while building a social relationship among the police, youth, parents, and other community volunteers.  M-PAL's youth prevention strategy is to offer young people recreational and educational activities, in a controlled environment. M-PAL includes volunteers from law enforcement, teachers, and local residents as participants and supervisors in these activities.

A word of Thanks.......

On behalf of the Madison Township Police Activities League (M-PAL), I wish to extend a sincere thank you to the community for their support in raising money for the batting cages.  As well as an enormous thank you to the businesses of Madison Township, Madison Village and Lake County who stepped up and made donations that have gone a long way to helping M-PAL reach the goal of obtaining batting cages for our youth.

The Reverse Raffle held Friday, July 22nd, netted M-PAL over $3,000.00.  Despite the heat and humidity a good time was had by all who attended.  A delicious  dinner donated by Joey’s Italian Grille, music by Tom Kuntz and the draw of the $2,000 main board combined to make a great evening.

The batting cages project has been ongoing for just over a year and M-PAL has successfully reached its goal of purchasing the batting cages.  Two batting/pitching cages will be located at the Skate Park on Hubbard Road and four or five batting cages will be installed at an indoor facility attached to the YMCA which will allow use of the cages all year long.  These batting cages will be available to everyone not just YMCA members.  Non-members will not be charged any extra to use the cages.  The decision to donate the cages to the YMCA was made because of the maintenance, support and insurance costs that could not be addressed by the Township or the Parks & Recreation Department.

Thank you again for your support.

Sincerely,

Detective Tim Doyle
